This week, we have learnt about Black History Month and talked about our Black History Month heroes. The children learnt about inspirational people, including Rosa Parks, Michelle Obama and Martin Luther King Jr. It has been lovely to hear their thoughts, ideas and reflections about these important figures and the difference they have made to the world.

We have also linked our learning to our Animal Kingdom topic by watching Tinga Tinga Tales, exploring traditional African animal folktales and discovering the colourful Tingatinga artwork from Tanzania.

A wonderful week of celebrating inspirational people, exploring different cultures and appreciating the stories and artwork that make our world so special!
