This week, Year 1 had a fantastic time taking part in a Lion Learners workshop, which built on our Science learning about animals this half term. The children had the exciting opportunity to meet a range of animals, including a snake, tarantula, guinea pig and bearded dragon. They were incredibly brave and showed such enthusiasm throughout the session! I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful questions the children asked, showing just how curious they are about the world around them. One of my favourite questions was, “Why do hedgehogs have prickles?” It was wonderful to see the children using what they have learned in Science and developing their curiosity through such a memorable hands-on experience!
